Jesus stepped into Spiritual Conversation Copy Copy

Read John 4:10-15

We often wait for spiritual conversations to come naturally. We talk about our interests, the weather, or what happened last week. Maybe, somewhere, there will be a question or topic that leads naturally into a conversation about God. The only problem is that we can wait a long, long time – sometimes years!

The Samaritan woman was not even over the shock of talking to a Jewish man, and Jesus already started turning the conversation to spiritual things. He did so abruptly, making a connection that she totally missed. He didn’t wait for her to make this transition – he leads the way.
