Jesus treated the Samaritan woman as someone who was relationally close – even though no friendship existed, and he culturally he shouldn’t have even been talking to her.
Not only did He reach out to speak with her first, but He also asked her for help – for a cup of water – which probably made her feel more comfortable in the first moments of their conversation.– What are some of the barriers to relationships with the people on your list?
